Jerry Springer, daytime television pioneer, dies at 79

MSN is reporting that Jerry Springer has died at 79. I never got into his show, but a lot of people liked it.

I was very shocked to see this when it was announced. I remember watching him when I was a kid, his show used to be on before Friends on a channel over here in the UK. I can't say I had seen anything of his shows for a while now though.
