I think it would be great to have such initiative to represent diverse backgrounds.
I think kids and teens will bring a unique perspective, and only those into politics would go into government.
Sure, they don't have that life experience, but I feel like that can bring a fresh pair of eyes on an issue. Not to mention that their voices can be heard in issues affecting them.

Nice thought and it's always great to hear from young people and their opinions, just not sure of their ability to vote maturely though? I think social groups in high school may help to fill that roll if those students have direct access to government institutions to share their voice.

Maybe more common in the US?
It never happened at my school, but I went to an all-girls' school.
I feel like men generally express more interest in politics than women, although the difference is not so pronounced as in the IT field.
Were you more guys into politics than girls in your school?

I didn't have the same experience as you in school and my school was so big, a lot of us got lost in our own social groups based on what sports, theater, music or extracurricular classes we were involved in. The debate students were likely the most interested in politics though and most likely male, not that I think of it. ;)

Everyone during my school days bonded on similar music/TV tastes and a similar sense of humour.
I think this may perhaps be related to me having gone to an all-girls school? I found ppl to be pretty cliquey.
I feel like in a mixed school ppl are more open to differing hobbies and personalities, naturally. What do you think?

Seeing younger people and even in some cases kids being part of politics would be interesting and something that I could get behind. All too often we hear about kids being too young to have an opinion on politics or how the country is working and that couldn't be any further from the truth.

Kids and even young adults are the ones that are in the end going to have to deal with the repercussions of decisions made now by those older and to help make things better, they should be allowed to have a voice and share their opinions within politics.

Agreed, not all adults are well-advised on politics either. You must be aware that a major headline during the time of the Brexit vote was that the most frequently googled term in the UK was "What is the EU?" Crazy, right?

I don't want to go with this kind of populist theory. However, I feel that youths (especially people in their 20s and early 30s) should get into government positions. Sadly, politics is all about old people.
Seriously, it's the sad reality in my country too. The old doesn't want to leave politics for the young to take over. Imagine our incoming president elect is over 85 years old and he's not even healthy. He wasn't voted for as the election was rigged in his favor.

I think the younger population need to be represented more in the senior government. It's usually the older, more experienced who are higher up in government.
