Jealousy the Root of Hate?

In a previous thread, I wrote about this soccer player being victimized for racism, but is it really that? In my experience, jealousy is the root cause. In fact, people will come out of the woodwork when jealousy comes to play.

In my experience, I don't get jealous. However, I can resent people who have a lot who "rub it in". That can be very obnoxious and lead to a backlash, of course.

It's definately a part of the problem. But Like i mentioned in the racism thread, Spain is especially bad for it as many still hold the old Franco beliefs.

When someone gets better than you, it is just common sense to align with the person to see if you can get anything to learn from that person. When you antagonize the person, it would graduate to jealousy and from there, it graduates to hate.

I don't understand how people are jealous of another person. A person that is jealous about another person simply wishes that the thing that is making him or her jealous about the person should not have happened to the person. That is bitterness an it is dangerous.
