No matter what you do as a parent, there will always be people who will judge you even though they probably do not know anything about you. Some people get called too strict as a parent and others get called not strict enough and sometimes you can never win no matter what you do.
When it comes to parenting do you think there is such a thing as too strict or not strict enough when it comes to parenting?
I think some parents are bossing around teenagers like little children and I wonder how such kids will make it in their own. Also, if the parents have to tell them everything to do, then maybe that shows the kids are not learning habits and finally, I suspect such patenting is psychological abuse.
Now, of course, on the other end are lazy parents who have a good chance of raising rotten kids.
I can rightly say that my dad was too strict. This is a man that slapped my elder brother who was married and had kids. The same man that when he comes back home, we dare not talk. For me, he was just not too strict. He was narcissistic. Yes, there are parents that do excessive strictness.
