Does money bring happiness?

We always hear the saying money brings happiness but when you think about it, is that really the case or is it just a common saying that became popular?

I personally feel that if I was to become financially stable then I would be happier but then again, I believe everyone would be happier if they were financially stable and not having to worry as much anymore. However, if I was to become a millionaire or a billionaire I don't feel I would be anymore happier than I would be being financially stable and I feel if I had enough money to buy everything I wanted, do everything I wanted to pay off everything I wanted, in the end I would have done everything and end up bored.

I can't imagine my without money. I can't imagine being happy without money. They say money is the root of all evil, well I strongly don't care about it. I rather have money which is the root of all evil then stay in poverty which is the root of all righteousness I suppose? If we are not talking money in most of the stuff I'm doing, I don't think that I would be interested for long.

This is very true, everyone is going to be happy with money as it brings less stress and worry. In terms of having money though, are you happier just being financially stable or would you be happier if you had more than that?

There is a certain blissful feeling that oozes out of you when you know that if anything happens now, you would have where to start from. When you have money, your confidence level rises and it keeps growing in direct proportion to how your bank account grows. Money brings happiness. It makes me more happy when I see money.

That was Jesus trying to pass a point. It was a hypothetical story that didn't even happen in real life. Take it or leave it, if you don't have money, the chances of making heaven is very slim. You would be vulnerable to sin as a poor person than a rich person. Ask every prostitute and armed robber why they're doing these things, they would honestly tell you it's poverty.

No one can even serve God well when he is broke and beggarly. I think after God, it is money for me. Money makes my life relaxed and that's why I chase it with all my heart. I get depressed when I don't have money.

The pursuit of money can become an idol, taking time from non-monetary things and one can regret the time lost. For instance, a dad might regret missing his son's sporting event and he might also lose time with his wife.

The problem is that human needs are limitless; even if we achieve our goals, we will always need new things, and yes, our needs are dependent on our financial situation. As you pointed out, even if you have enough money to be financially stable, you will still need more as you will find other necessities for your daily needs.



Money may provide happiness to individuals in many different ways. Just think about your children having all they want or helping those in need, and you will see happiness in the eyes of everybody.

I have never seen anything as a happy poor. Forget about public shows. In their closets, the poor actually cry and wish that they were able to be financially comfortable to afford all the good things of life. Money brings happiness for sure.
