There are many reasons and I'm not defending them. One is that they claim they were a major group bringing on Communism. This idea was fed by the fact the 2nd in command in the Russian Revolution was Leon Trotsky. Anyway, of course, this was a major "so called" justification for the Holocaust.
Another reason is the belief they have some sort of secret monopoly in Capitalism. This idea is fed by rumors of the Rothchilds family.
Do you know other reasons? One type of resentment comes from those opposing racial integration which they claim is caused by the Jews as some sort of scheme to gain power.
Of course, these days, most people find these views old-fashioned and basically an abomination. Do you see these views coming back? Well, with the resentment of illegal aliens in the US, among other things, we see a resurgence of a feeling of a persecuted white minority.
