I always remember when I was at school, we always had an hour for a lunch break in both primary and also secondary school. Lunch would start at 12 pm and would end at 1 pm when we needed to be back in the lesson. That seemed like enough time to be able to grab food, eat without rushing and be able to get into lessons on time.
Nowadays, it would seem that children are given around 35 minutes to get their lunch, eat it and get back into the lesson, this often leaves some kids now eating or leaving some of what they were eating due to needing to be back in the lesson.
Would you say 35 minutes is long enough for a lunch break?
